Cunard’s newest ship, Queen Anne, made a memorable overnight call at Cape Town’s Cruise Terminal, and my colleague Rikke was fortunate enough to step on board this stunning addition to the Cunard fleet.
“It was a wonderful privilege to visit the Queen Anne while she was docked in Cape Town overnight. She is a truly gorgeous new lady in the Cunard fleet. Cabins were fully booked, a great sign of her popularity, and we were treated to a delightful lunch on board. Thank you to Cunard and White Star Cruises for the warm hospitality. Cape Town certainly put on a show.”
Launched in 2024, Queen Anne accommodates around 3,000 guests and offers a modern interpretation of Cunard’s classic elegance, blending Art Deco–inspired interiors with contemporary spaces and updated amenities. Highlights include The Pavilion with its retractable glass roof, the Commodore Club for panoramic ocean views, and a range of dining venues from the elegant Britannia Restaurant to more casual options.
Guest reviews praise her beautiful design, comfortable cabins, excellent service, and high-quality dining, while noting that she feels more modern than Cunard’s older ships, an appeal for travellers seeking classic luxury with a fresh, contemporary edge.
With strong demand and sold-out sailings, Queen Anne is already proving to be one of Cunard’s most sought-after ships. She’s an exceptional choice for travellers looking to experience refined ocean cruising with modern comforts.
